Get the Fat Out!

Ellen says: Did you know that cholesterol in fooods, such as egg yolks, is less of a problem than the cholesterol churned out when the body consumes saturated fat? That's why we need to avoid whole-fat dairy products, and conut and palm oils. These foods make the kind of cholesterol most likely to log your arteries.

We need to get the fat out of our diet. Why? Because a high-fat diet inreases the risk of some cancers and coronary disease. Even benefiial olive oil, if used excessively, can contribute to all the same problems associated with obesity. We need to stop looking for quick fixes and start a variety of foods that pack lots of vitamins and minerals.

Here are a few simple suggestions: Eat less, especially fats and saturated fat. Eat a variety of foods, especially fruits, vegetables, and grains. If you do these things, you'll have the most important nutrition bases covered.
