A contolled study was done on children living on meager diets. Teachers complained that these children were unable to concentrate, slow to learn, had poor retention of the material they were taught, and did not pay attention in class. But when their diets were improved, these conditions changed.
A good diet has positive effects on school achievement. Other studies showed that children who eat a good breakfast perform at a much higher level and have a better attitude toward school. If they don't eat breakfast, children are fidgety and troublesome by mid-morning. Those who have a good breakfast perform well until lunch.
If this is true for children, it is true for adults. Your day at work and in the home will be better on a stomach full of nutritious breakfast.
