It's What's Up Front

Gbex says:Carrying your weight in your hips and thighs may distress you, but experts don't consider it a health hazard. A big belly, on the other hand, well, that's different matter.

Studies suggest that fat in the abdominal area is as bad for the heart as smoking.

According to researchers reporting their findings at a recent meeting of the American Heart Association, a fat stomach produces a five to ten fold increase in the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and premature death.

The study indicates that the belly is the worst place for fat storage.

The reason is that fat is stored in the abdominal area is very prone in getting into the bloodstream where it raises blood fat and insulin levels.

So, if your fat is up front, it's in a dangerous place.
