Remember, however, that you can turn a wonderful food like pasta or spaghetti into a fat food if you load it with rich meat sauces and cheeses. Instead, put a small amount of tomato sauce on a big plate of spaghetti. This way you will be eating a food that is high in complex carbohydrate and low in fat. Your body will burn this food for energy and not store it as fat.
You will also find that you feel more satisfied when you eat complex carbohydrates because they stimulate insulin in our bodies, and this is what lets our brain know that we have had enough to eat and we get the signal to stop eating. Let's learn to satisfy our need for food and not always be searching for ways to stimulate our appetites.
