Gbex says: My friend Lawrence told me a story when we had a nice long phone talk last night that he himself had been with the community of religious brothers who live atop the canyons of New Mexico.
His story was so challenging that I could not imagine myself living in such condition. He lived life with monks and he did what the monks were doing: pray eight times a day, conduct work in silence and live most of the time in silence inside the four walls of the monastery.
I admire Lawrence for having lived such austere and contemplative kind of lifestyle. Now that he is out in the world where he used to live prior to his coming to the monastery, I challenged him to be sronger and steadfast as he was eight years ago.
