Decompression Routine

Ellen says: Do you find it difficult to unwind at the end of the day? Here's a simple "decompression routine;"

1. When you've finished your work for the day, take three to five minutes to just sit quietly.
2. Drive home by a different routine, exploring the new scenery.
3. When you get home, don't go the house immediately.Walk around the yard or neighborhood and "smell the roses."
4. Insist that the first fifteen minutes at home be peaceful ones; that you not be asked to deal with hassles or crises. That will give you time to change clothes, collect your thoughts, and get settled. Then you can deal with any issues in a relaxed manner.
