Individuals had to perform a varieyt of different tasks. After doing these taks, the individuals then spent ten hours in bed. They did this for six nights in a row. When rested, every one of them scored higher on tests they wre given.
You can experiment with your own sleep patterns. Go to bed half hour earlier than you normally do for one week. Do you feel more alert and rested? Next, Try going to bed one hour earlier for the second week. See how you feel.
Remember, it is important to extend your time by going to bed earlier rather than by getting up later. If you rise later, your body's internal clock may not be in sync with your getting-up time, and you may wake up feeling groggy. If you have recieve the right amount of sleep you should wake up without an alarm clock and feel refreshed all day.
