Lifework

Ellen says: When the specter of unemployment frightens us, it's easy to forget that lifework is much more than what you can get paid for.

Lifework is many things. It is what you do to maintain your home. It's very important to have a comfortable home. One that pleases you. Lifework is what we do to stretch our creative side, whether as an artist or craftperson, or through recreation.

It's our work in the community. It's hard to be happy without giving in some way to the world around us. Lifework is also our spiritual journey.

If you know someone who's finding trouble finding ideal job, gently remind her of the great scope of lifework. If your the one of those people, expand those parts of your lifework that you do control. do what you need to do make money, and  create lifework value in other ways.
