Optimism

Ellen says: As we move into a New Year, we have the choice to see it as an optimist or as a pessimist.Do you see weeds or do you see flowers? Is the glass half empty or it is a half full? How do you see the world?

Optimist and pessimist think that they are base their perceptions on fact, but it is more likely that they are inherited. If you have an optimistic parent, you're more likely to be an optimistic. but the filters that color your perception can be change.

You can look forward to an optimistic New year. If you are in a traffic jam, remind yourself that you need time to think. If you're sick, you can use the time to decide what's important to you. If you're having economic difficulties, they will reinforce you to evaluate your priorities. You may end up happier.

Look for the positive hidden in the negative and make a resolution for an optimistic New Year
