The best person I can be...

Ellen says: Regardless of the effort people put into their family life, some are confident it will work out well while others fear it will work out poorly. Let yourself see the good side of what you are doing and what is happening with your family. Family life is not a test, so there is no reason to worry away your time thinking about results.

I have been a parent for almost 17 years now. Long enough, that I should be able to explain the whole parenting thing. And yet much of the time, I am worried that I am doing the wrong thing or not enough of the right thing. Then, i've come to appreciate that the great parenting is not a mystery, and not something only a few talented people can do. Its fundamental are: being there, being loving, being understanding, being reassuring. I don't have to train for this like a training for a sport. I just need to be the best person I can be .
