Dom says: The monks who were at the site giving their goodbye hugs and well wishes to the sisters really frolicked with the curtain rods that Sister Maria Theresa were giving away aside from the plant hangers that Mother Mary Benedicta gave away.
The scene was so very hilarious indeed especially when two of our monks had to struggle against each other of that one very beautiful wrought iron Christmas wreath hanger that Sister Francisca gave away.
Well, in my eagerness and curiosity, I chanced myself to have really caught the Mother Superior Prioress and asked her where they got all those lovely pieces of possessions, and she quickly answered: "Oh dear brother Lawrence, I got them from a store that sells all types of these heavenly curtain rods and plant hangers and its name serves it right: Wrought Iron Haven! "
Then she added telling me that she got so much discounts from them, and she whispered to me how she got such big discount! and I gotcha!!!!
Well, let me share it to you, too, and must tell you that whenever you would need to provide your botanical garden and meditation garden with hangers and rods or a pretty backdoor for that matter that's just so lovely to look at, then get into this store that gives away such pretty discount that you would never imagine one store will offer. The going away of the sisters was indeed sad for each of us who have been so famiiar with each other and has developed such good friendly relationship with them but though it's sad, yet there was a jolly memory and a funny one to remember when the sisters left their cloister early this morning for their new Cloister house in Gobernador.
I got two resounding memories to always look into. First, is a knowledge of a store that will give me bright ideas what to get for our meditation garden in our community. Second: is a sure discount that will surely ease the burden of our budget for that matter.
The sad part of the story was that Sr Kateri, my " charming boss" is gone now, so I will have to scout for someone from among the monks here in my community who can do the job that Sr. kateri has left behind.
The funny part of the story of their going away was that part when Mother Mary Benedicta sporadically gave away her most beautiful plant hangers which she did not bring with her in their new house as there was no more space to place in the Uhaul trucks that brought their house furnitures and possessions to their new habitat. The monks really frolicked like kids as they received those beautiful giveaways.
