Dom says: Nevada is miles away from New Mexico and so, driving the interstate is just too taxing for my superior to be able to get back to Sta Fe for his next day's talk as retreat master to the Franciscan sisters. So he decided to get himself be accomodated in one of the decent and fine hotels in las vegas for an overnight stay with a discounted hotel fee courtesy of his friend benefactor who recommended him to the hotel administrator.
The next day, as what was planned, he flew back immediately to Albuquerque and hurriedly got in the service car waiting for him and drive past to Sta Fe where the sisters were waiting for him as he was supposed to give the blessing and Invocation to officially begin the four-day retreat.
Indeed, my abbot superior is always busy as a bee for religious as well as social commitments.
