last day in the philippines... first day in the USA!

Dom says: My last day in the Philippines compared with my first day in United States. They were such memorable days....

Since my flight to United States was at 10:00Pm of May 16th via Philippine Airlines PR-102, I thought of going out to the airport terminal to spend some quality time with Eva, my niece from one of my elder brothers Igme, in Ayala Center.
We had lunch at Tokyo Tokyo. Then around 1:30Pm, I met with Eileen, who requested to see me before I leave for the USA, and we had late lunch at Pancake House, still at Ayala Center.
We had a very long talk, the conversation seemed to be continuation of our talk at MOA. It seemed to me that the talk was endless, but it was so relieving.
When it was time for me to go back to the airport terminal, she offered to come with me and give me a despidida, such was a strange feeling to feel on someone giving me a push to the terminal.

When we arrived at the terminal 2 of NAIA, she requested to stay with me while there was still time left for me before I enter the boarding area and get myself a boarding pass.
I offered her a cup of coffee and so we proceeded to the terminal restaurant. We had another long hours of conversation while at the coffee shop. I had to break the talk when I noticed that it was already 7:30Pm and I was already late in boarding by half an hour. I boarded the plane and it took off at 10:00Pm of May 16th.

The flight was turbulent all the rest of my 12 hours of flight to Los Angeles. I arrived Los Angeles airport at 7:50Pm of May 16th.

After long hours of lining up for clearance at the Immigration authorities, I was finally admitted for entry to the United States. Since it was already very late, and besides I was groping where to go and what to do next for my hotel accomodations, I opted to stay inside the terminal of United Airlines that will take me to New Mexico at 6:00Am the next morning. The long hours of waiting inside the terminal was not boring and fearful as there were lots of passengers who stayed at the terminal for their next day flights.

I couldn't sleep the whole night so I decided to watch a movie from my laptop while the rest of them inside the terminal slept on the floor, on benches and while on a squat position.

My first day in America was not bothersome, fearsome but a worry-free one.
