For several years now, I have been asking myself (not to mention my joining in panel discussions in groups of pros and cons on the national issues that affect the general citizenry) the real and authentic relevance of my frat's annual run at a famous school campus in Quezon City.
It seemed that my questions in my mind could not be sufficed by the so many discussions which I attended on the authentic and relevance of this run.
Now, it seems to me that the oblation runs in the past that were staged by my fraternal bros. (mostly pledgees) were only turned to futility as far as creating an impact on governmental and socio-economic issues that the Filipino people have been facing in the past and up to the present time.
Is there any way by which the grand chancellors and other officers, and as well as the high ranking officers of my frat's national office, can do something to re-channel the energies of these poor running naked brothers and pledgees to a more dignified and a less-shame nerve wracking type of activity rather than a run?.... Is the oblation run really worth a run?
